Aly is a citizen of the Seneca Nation of Indians and from Steamburg, NY, a small town located in Western New York.

Aly is a first-generation college student and law student. She graduated from Syracuse University as a dual major in International Relations and Spanish.

She later attended law school at Michigan State University College of Law, where she received her certificates in Indigenous Law and Policy and the MSU Trial Practice Institute.

During law school, Aly served on the MSU Native American Law Students Association (NALSA), the National Native American Law Students Association (NNALSA), and as a mentor for first year Indigenous law students. Aly spent time during law school working at boutique Indian law firm, a large International Law Firm, and In-House for a tribe.

Aly is an active member of her tribal community. She is a member of a local beading and crafting group, a mentor, and stays up to date with community concerns. Aly enjoys listening to Beyoncé, traveling, learning traditional crafts from elders, and spending time with her loved ones and Persian cat, Dior.
